Challenge

As game worlds become increasingly immersive, Ubisoft Singapore sought to enhance its audio production capabilities with a dedicated spatial audio studio. The goal: give sound designers precise control over 3D audio environments, including vertical movement and dynamic spatial positioning, essential for today’s high-end gaming experiences.

The new studio, Sound Studio Blue, needed tools that could manage and monitor a complex 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos® setup while ensuring compliance with loudness and quality standards across global platforms.

Solution

Ubisoft selected RTW’s TouchControl 5 as the central monitor controller and TouchMonitor TM7 as the metering backbone for its Atmos setup.

  • TouchControl 5 enables intuitive and precise control over speaker configurations, level calibration, and input management within the immersive 3D sound space.
  • TouchMonitor TM7 provides comprehensive loudness metering, signal visualization, and spatial alignment feedback, ensuring every sound element is positioned exactly as intended.

This combination offers not just technical accuracy, but also workflow confidence for creative professionals working at the cutting edge of game audio.

With RTW gear now integrated into Sound Studio Blue, Ubisoft sound designers have the tools they need to shape immersive, spatially rich soundscapes. The setup empowers them to craft audio experiences where sound moves fluidly around - and above - the player, enhancing realism and deepening gameplay engagement.
