RTW collects and uses your personal data exclusively as permitted by the provisions of the respective data protection laws. The following explains the nature, scope and purposes of the collection and use of personal data. You can access this information under the Privacy Notice link on every page of our website www.rtw.com.

Transfer and recording of data for intra-system and statistical purposes
With every access to our website, your internet browser automatically transfers the following information to our web server for technical reasons:

  • The current IP address of the internet link you use,
  • If you access our website through a link, the site from which you use the link,
  • The pages you open on our website,
  • The time and date of your visit,
  • The operating system you use, the browser name (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and the browser version.

The information is stored anonymously and is used only for statistical purposes (such as, how often you have visited the pages of our website) or to enable the technical network and system to detect failures of the server operation (log files).

Newsletter
For distributing our newsletters, we use an external cloud based service called MailChimp. If you would like to receive e-mails with information on product news and current offers (“Newsletter”), we need you to agree to letting us send you the newsletter. This is done by clicking the “Newsletter” tick-box when signing up for our newsletter. You can also give us your first name and surname so we can personalize the newsletter. The data is used only to send you the newsletter and to document that we are authorized to do so. You can withdraw your subscription at any time, including your approval that we can save your e-mail address for that purpose. You can do that by using one of the contacts below. Also, in the footer of all newsletter-emails, you will find a direct link to unsubscribe from the newsletter mailing list, and a direct link to edit your data.

Other data processing
Our website can be used without disclosure of personal data. Personal data which the users of our sites are requested to disclose (such as name, postal address or e-mail address) is voluntary as far as possible.

If you send us a message and use the contact form on our website for that, we store the data in the form (name, postal or e-mail address, phone number, etc.) and use it for the provision of the service requested and for further correspondence with you.

Please note that correspondence by e-mail or the contact form is not a secure way of communication and the content is not protected from unauthorized access. If you want to send confidential information, send it by post.

Reservation of consent
If and to the extent to which we intend to acquire, process or transmit personal data for purposes other than those detailed above, we will obtain your express and voluntary approval beforehand. The use of your website will not be subject to your approval to the extent to which this possible legally and technically.

You can withdraw your consent regarding the further use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. Please address the withdrawal to privacy(at)rtw.com.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties
We use your personal data exclusively for our own purposes as detailed above. Data is never disclosed to any third party.

If we involve a data processing contractor in connection with the transaction of our business, that contractor must bind himself by an undertaking to observe our data protection rules and permit us to check whether he abides by these standards and the statutory provisions. RTW remains responsible for compliance with all data protection laws (“commissioned data processing”).

Safety measures
RTW has installed specific technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. The security measures are state-of-the-art and are upgraded continuously to reflect new developments. All our employees handling personal data are bound by an undertaking of secrecy and have been instructed in the statutory requirements.

Data in communication acquired for the purpose of preparing or transacting business is encrypted by state-of-the-art methods to make any unauthorized use impossible.

Storage and deletion of personal data
All your personal data that is stored by us will be deleted directly and irretrievable as and when the purpose for which it was gathered ceases to exist unless we are obliged to retain the data under statutory provisions. If we are under such an obligation data will be deleted irretrievably at the end of the statutory retention period.

Cookies
We use so called “cookies” on some of our websites. Cookies are little text files which our web server transfers to your workplace computer. Cookies help the identification of your computer when you next visit the same site again and inform the server about what pages you accessed last and at what time you accessed them. Cookies do not contain personal data and cookies are not linked with other personal data stored by us. Cookies can only identify the workplace computer, never the user.

If you would not like to have cookies on your computer, your browser will tell you how you can disable the cookies function. Disabled cookies have no direct impact on the use of our websites.

Facebook plug-ins (Like button)
We use so called social plug-ins of the network facebook.com, such as the “Like” button. These plug-ins are available from and operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, and are distinct by the Facebook logo. If you open one of our sites that contain a plug-in, your browser builds a link to one of the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in is sent by Facebook directly to your browser and is displayed in our environment and we have no way of influencing the content of the plug-in.

Facebook may react to your visit to our sites and relate the visit to a Facebook account if you are a registered Facebook user or recently visited a Facebook site or a site with Facebook content. If you make active use of plug-ins (e.g., press the Like button), information is also transmitted by your browser directly to Facebook and again we have no way of influencing that. Details of the nature, purpose and scope of the further processing and use of your data by Facebook are described in the Privacy protection statement by Facebook. You will also learn more about your rights and the possible setting to protect your privacy there.

If you would not like that Facebook can assign your visits to our sites to your Facebook user account, please log out from your Facebook user account.

It is also possible to block Facebooks social plug-ins by add-ons for your browser, for example, the Facebook Blocker.

Twitter
Our sites integrate functions of the Twitter service. These functions are provided by Twitter Inc., Twitter, Inc. 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. This also involves the transmission of data to Twitter.

Please understand that we as provider of our sites have no way of knowing what data is transmitted to and how the data is used by Twitter. More information is available in the privacy statement by Twitter at twitter.com/privacy.

You can change your Twitter settings in the account settings under twitter.com/account/settings.

Google +1
We use on our websites the “+1” button of the social network Google+ by Google. The button is identified by the characters “+1” on a white or colored background.

If you open one of our websites which contains the “+1” button, your browser builds a direct link to one of the Google servers. The content of the “+1” button is sent by Google directly to your browser, which integrates it in the website. We have no way of influencing the scope of data acquired by Google with that button.

The Google server will be informed what website you are currently visiting. When the “+1” button is displayed, Google records the browsing history for one or two weeks for purposes of system maintenance and debugging. Your visit to our websites with the “+1” button will not be used in any other way.

If you press the “+1” button while you are logged in at Google+, Google, via your Google profile, acquires information on the URL recommended by you, your IP address and other browser related information so that your “+1” recommendation can be saved and made available to everyone. Your “+1” recommendations can be displayed as reference, together with your profile name and your photo, in search results or in your Google profile or any other websites or advertisements in the web.

If you are a member of Google+ or have logged in at Google and would not like Google to collect data about you when you visit one of our sites and links such data with member data saved by Google, you should log out from Google+ or Google before going to our sites.

Piwik
This website uses Piwik, a web analysis software for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. Piwik uses so called “cookies”, text files stored in your computer supporting an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information on your use of our website which the cookie generates is stored on the provider’s server. The IP address is anonymized immediately after the data has been processed and before it is stored to avoid any reference to the person of the user. You can disable the installation of cookies by changing the settings in your browser software; however, if you disable the cookies you may not be able to use all functions of the website fully.

Google Analytics
On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies (see above), enabling an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
However, if IP anonymisation is activated on our website, Google will shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

On our website we use Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This arranges for IP addresses to be further processed in abridged form, a direct relation to a person can be ruled out.

We use Google Analytics exclusively with your consent. You can withdraw your consent by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that in this case you may not be able to use the full scope of functions on our website.
You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website (including your IP address) and the transmission to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in.

Google Maps
Our website uses components of Google Maps to display overview maps with locations of our distributors resp. dealers and to provide the comfortable use of the route planner function. This service is offered by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

The Google server will be informed what website you are currently visiting independently from an account you are logged in and provided by Google or without any existing account.

If you click the Map/Route Planner button and thereby consent to the data transmission (location coordinates), your browser establishes a direct connection to the Google servers, where you can plan your route to us or to our distributors resp. dealers.

If you are logged in to your Google account, the transmissioned data will be linked to your profile. If you would not like Google to link such data with member data safed by Google, you should log out from Google before clicking the button.

Google stores your data as user profiles und uses them for the purpose of promotion, market research and/or for occupation-specific design of its web site. Such an evalution primarily takes place for sending of appropriately information and advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our web site. You have the right to object the creation of user profiles. To exercise your right of objection, contact Google.

Google also uses your data in the US and has subjected to the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

On your request, this information can be disclosed by electronic means. You can demand that unauthorized or incorrect data is deleted or blocked.
