Instruments

The Peak Program Meter (right display) shows depending on the selected format up to eight channels. The picture shows: peak level of each channel of a 5.1 surround signal acc. to selected standard with additional peak hold and SPL RMS indicators, pair of bargraphs for the display of summed SPL level or Leq. The Surround Sound Analyzer (House display, left display) is a powerful tool for visualizing the interaction of all important parameters of surround signals. The dynamic behaviour of all display elements corresponds to the subjective listening impression, enabling you to see the balance of a surround programme intuitively and at a glance.

Beside the Peak Program Meter (right display) the Multi-Correlator (left display) shows the phase relationship of all possible channel pairs of a 5.1 surround signal with ten phase meters graphically placed inside a 5.1 speaker setup. To obtain a view of the "surround envelopment" effect an optional 300 Hz low pass filter can be activated.

Beside the Peak Program Meter (right display) the Dialnorm Meter (left display) calculates and displays Dialnorm values from the digital inputs. Dialnorm is used in film sound mixing and describes the normalization of the dialog loundness level with respect to a certain reference monitoring level.

Beside the Peak Program Meter (right display) the Audio Vectorscope (left display) offers a high quality Lissajous display for stereo signals and surround signals and for all modes with stereo channel pairs showing the phase relationship of the channels in real time. Additionally, corresponding phase meters are displayed.

Beside the Peak Program Meter (right display) the Real Time Analyzer (left display) displays the spectral distribution of individual channels or channel groups using 31 bands with 1/3 octave intervals. Additional function for easy evaluation: peak hold.

Beside the Peak Program Meter (right display) this Audio Vectorscope (left display) offers the possibility to display external generated downmix signals or other external Stereo signals. On high quality Lissajous displays the phase relationship of the external channels is shown in real time.

This example shows the temporary displayed numerical display (left display). It superimposes the stored maximum level values, the margin and the overs in all channels.
