Firmware update 4-00 for TouchMonitor TM7, TMR7 and TM9 available

The new software provides Logging Data Server and Timecode Reader licence options

Cologne, January 6, 2014 – RTW, a leading vendor of visual audio meters and monitoring devices for professional broadcast, production, post production and quality control, is shipping the new software licence options SW20014: Logging Data Server and SW20008: Timecode Reader for all TM7, TMR7, and TM9 units. This options are available with the current firmware update 4-00.

With the Logging Data Server licence SW20014 activated the Logging instrument is available. It is used to collect data of Loudness and TruePeak measurements and either to store them on a USB flash drive or to send them via IP connection to the LQL - Loudness Quality Logger PC software for analyzing (PC software available from RTW to registered users). The instrument allows two-stage definition of thresholds to indicate and to log the exceeding of limits set by legal or in-house regulations for example.

Depending on the selected mode (USB, IP, or off) and the executed actions, the top line of the instrument informs about the current state like Loudness Quality Logger access or data storage to an USB flash drive. The logged data of maximum two audio groups are stored in separate files. Use a SQLite compatible data base browser to view the files or to export them e. g. into a CSV file.

With the Timecode Reader licence SW20008 activated the corresponding function is available as a separate mode generating an individual audio group including the Timecode Reader instrument. It is used to decode and to display an SDI-embedded or LTC timecode using the 3G-SDI interface (if installed) resp. one of the selectable audio inputs.
