IBC, Amsterdam, September 11, 2026 – RTW, a leading provider of professional audio metering and control solutions, announces support for Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers across TouchControl 5, TouchMonitor 5 and TMxCore.

By integrating Genelec’s Smart IP control API, RTW has enabled its devices to control Genelec Smart IP loudspeakers directly over the network.

The integration brings Genelec loudspeaker control directly into the RTW user interface. Users can control functions including level, mute and unmute, preset (profile) recall, LED visibility and standby mode, as well as additional Genelec Smart IP functions.

Individual loudspeakers can be addressed using unicast, while multicast communication enables simultaneous control of groups of loudspeakers. This makes it possible to build flexible control solutions ranging from individual rooms and small systems to larger networked audio installations.

Integrated Control From RTW

With TouchControl 5, TouchMonitor 5 or TMxCore, Genelec Smart IP controls can be incorporated directly into customized RTW user interfaces alongside meters, buttons and other instruments.

Controls can also be included as part of RTW presets, making it possible to create interfaces and configurations tailored to different rooms, applications or operational requirements.

The Genelec integration is part of RTW’s broader strategy to make its products increasingly open and connected, allowing them to communicate with and control other devices within an audio installation. Rather than operating as standalone devices, TouchControl 5, TouchMonitor 5 and TMxCore can become integrated parts of a larger system, exchanging commands and status information with other networked equipment.

The combination of flexible RTW user interfaces and Genelec’s network-controlled Smart IP loudspeakers provides system designers and integrators with new possibilities for creating centralized, application-specific audio control solutions.
