Surround Sound Analyzer - Example 4

Applied signal:
5.1 surround signal

The center channel display (yellow lines of the Total Volume Indicator - TVI) shows a slight dominance of the center channel relating to the L an R channels, also displayed with the area enclosed by the connecting lines between the L - C, C - R and R - L channels. This simplifies the evaluation of the intermixture of a microphone support (here it would be a little bit too dominant in relation to L and R) or the loudness of dialog in relation to music (here the dialog would be too quiet).

The width of the center channel phantom source indicator (PSI) is a sign of coherent center channel signals in the L and/or R channels (crosstalk). The correlation level between L and C is above +0.25 (green) and the correlation level between C and R is about 0 (yellow).
