Multicorrelator Menu

This menu page is used to configure the Multicorrelator instrument. This instrument is only available if one of the surround channel modes was selected for the audio group the instrument is in (not with TMR7). In Normal mode, it displays the phase relationships between all channel pairs available in the surround format used (except LFE) graphically placed in the speaker setup of the respective surround mode. In LFE mode, it displays the phase relationships between every single channel available in the surround format used and the LFE channel.
Identical signals in both channels have a correlation of +1; completely unrelated signals have a correlation of 0. Normal stereo mixes mostly show correlation values between 0.3 and 0.7. When both channels carry identical signals but one channel's polarity is switched (180° phase), the correlation will be -1.
